Post Subject: Microsoft to buy Skype

In a move that crept past facebook and google, Microsoft has announced that it will be buying Skype for $8.5 billion.
With mentions to xbox, kinect, and windows mobile platforms, this should be something pretty interesting. Personally I love the idea of skype on my xbox, and this should give skype a large push with their user base. I will admit though, I'm a little bummed facebook didn't get in on the deal, I would have loved to see what innovations came out of that, but hopefully microsoft excellent working relationship with facebook will allow for some interesting developments.
