Post Subject: web 2.0 integration
Posted on: Aug 25, 2008
You know how some sites use the Digg, Stumble Upon and deli.cio.us buttons to promote the site? I think fusion mods could benefit from taking advantage of these services. These social bookmarking sites are probably one of the best ways to advertise websites without paying a dime.
Here is what needs to be done:
-Put the thread title after the page title. (ie. <title> FusionMods - Page title </title>)
-Integrate the social bookmarking buttons in the sidebar in each page.
-Perhaps add an rss feed of the forums.
This could definatley ramp up active members, since alot of people find sites like this one with services such as stumble upon and digg.
What do you think of web 2.0 elements? Should fusion mods use them? steamid: dead7iest_weap0n

This is something I'm planning for the next version of FusionMods. As of this moment it's just a mock up, I havne't even finalized the drawing, but I've been going over the code a lot. I have a dev server that I've been fine tuning new functions on.
The title thing is one area I've been wanting to address for a long time now so I'm not suprised it was just brought up.
I've looked at doing the social medda sites like stumbleupon, reddit, digg, ect. The only downside is, I don't think we come close to getting enough traffic to ever get into them, lol.
The RSS feed is another thing that is definatly already in place for the next install.
I'm looking at having the next install of the site finish and presented in about 1.5 months. lol I'm aiming for it to be cool enough that it'll blow everyones mind :)
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
