Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset
Author: faceless105 -- Posted: 2007-04-24
One thing that we haven't taken a good look into yet are the in ear headsets. Sometimes having that big clunky headset on just isn't the route you want to take. So today we'll be looking at the Siberia In:Ear Headset by Icemat.

This headset is pretty cool and packs a punch even at this size. The package comes with a lot of extras as well. The headphones come with a total of three sets of ear buds, and two different styles. Along with this there is even a handy little bag to keep everything in for while you're on the run.

Now I could go on listing the features on the back of the box but I think we all know the best way to write a review on something like this is to give the first hand experience. So here it goes.

Both the different ear buds for the head set are very comfortable, even when worn for long periods of time. They also really fit your ear. The problems I've had in the past with in-ear headsets were that they were either very uncomfortable, especially for the extended periods, or they kept falling out. With the soft design of the plastic, that has not been a problem yet.

The sound was also great. It was very clear which I think is a real feat for such small ear pieces. Since we're already on sound I think I should also mention how the microphone performed. This thing worked great. I asked how it sounded over some voice chat and everyone said it sounded great. I also noticed that there weren't any problems with background noise.

Performance aside I wanted to talk about how well these are built. They have a solid feel to them, and could probably take a fair amount of abuse before you noticed any real damage to them. I also really appreciated the cord extensions. It really makes this headset versatile from carrying around your mp3 player to sitting at your desktop.

I'd like to take this chance to thank Icemat for giving me the opportunity to review the Siberia In:Ear Headset and I'd recommend that all of you check them out. This headset is definitely a quality headset, and I've been really impressed by their performance.

As always I'd love to field any questions you guys might be able to throw at me. I'm always up for a good discussion and this is no exception.
